About Us
How Throw Ballss Began and What Drives Us Today
Throw Ballss started with one simple belief: learning football should feel approachable, friendly, and low-stress for every person. When our founder moved to Toronto, they often heard comments like, "I am out of shape, I will look silly," or "I do not know the drills, the coach will get annoyed." After one slow, fun afternoon training with a friend — laughing, practicing simple passes, and talking about having a "good touch" kind of day — that small moment slowly turned into a clear plan: build a football program where people can show up as they are and never feel judged, rushed, or unwelcome.
In the beginning, Throw Ballss was very small: one training spot, a few balls, and a handful of curious first participants. That first group did not look like a typical competitive team. One person had never trained football properly before, another was a busy parent who wanted a simple way to stay active without spending all day in the sun, and a quiet player was trying to reconnect with the sport after years of stopping and starting.
Instead of using loud commands or cold instructions, our founder slowed everything down, used simple explanations, and treated every missed pass as a normal part of learning. There was a lot of smiling, a few drills repeated without stress, and many "let's try that again, step by step" moments — and from those early sessions, the real spirit of Throw Ballss began to take shape.
From there, our football community grew naturally. More people came to train, and we added coaches who share the same mindset: be patient, be respectful, and support progress honestly. Our staff are not here to bark orders from far away and leave players to figure everything out alone. They stay close, guide each part of training, break every drill into clear parts, and explain again as many times as needed until everything feels understandable and comfortable.
Whether you want stronger fitness, better technique, a steady routine, or simply a more active and organised week in Toronto, we shape our training around real life instead of forcing everyone into one rigid plan.
Today, Throw Ballss feels less like a strict academy and more like a familiar training home. Families learn that arriving as beginners is completely normal, because getting a little better each week is what truly matters. Adults finally start the training routine they postponed for years. Friends meet at sessions and turn practice into a weekly habit they actually enjoy.
For us, success is not only a perfect shot or a "clean" drill with no mistakes. Real success is that quiet moment when someone finishes training and thinks, "I did not expect football to feel this welcoming, but now it feels possible for me." That feeling is what drives our work — and we will be glad to help you start your own calm, confident football journey in Toronto with Throw Ballss.
